That Certain Feeling

THOUGH ONE IS TOLD GOD IS EVERYTHING, 
No one has ever seen anything.
Moses asked to see and was denied. 
Since that time, many others have tried.

To know God, is not something to see, 
God is the ultimate mystery.
How then does God become known - please tell? 
By a certain feeling one can't quell.

LET MY HEART

Be suffused with Love. 
The Love of God.

There is no other thing
-Including love for another - 
That will quench my thirst 
For God's Love.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO OFFER? 

What can I readily give? 
What can I bring to man,
So he may better live?

Can an object be the answer? 
What would be your guess2
Anything I may think of,
I must always always ask God to bless.

Without His blessing there is no value, 
It's like serving an empty dish.
Whatever, may it carry God 's blessing. 
This is my fervent wish.

FEAR OF THE LORD AND HIS MIGHT, 

Not to cower, live in fright,
But see one's limited role , 
Knowing all's in His control.

Ever aware He is there, 
Though no vision does appear . . .
This is the first thing to know 
Toward wisdom, as we go,
 

ACKNOWLEDGING GOD IS NOT HARD. 

What is, is to keep God in mind.
Do it all times everywhere. 
Feeling one with God - intertwined.

One with each breath. 
At all times in view.
Intertwined, nothing less. 
God a part of you.

SAY IT, AGAIN AND AGAIN, 
Never stop saying "Amen".

This recognizes God is King. 
For everything - His praises sing.
It's done by the wisest of men, 
You'll see them always say "Amen".

WHY ONLY THE BIBLE - 
WHY NOT OTHER TEXTS- 
Held holy by other sects?
Theirs was divinely inspired is the claim. 
Why exclude when the messages are the same? 
Refer to all and see how they agree
We should love one another 
- indiscriminately.

ALL RELIGIONS BAR NONE,

Say there is only one God for everyone. 
He is said to be everywhere.
But how to find Him, has not been made clear. 
He cannot be seen or heard.
Is it only to take another's word?

If one yearns to know God, This is what he need do.
Still his mind, for God to come through.

WE CAN ONLY IMAGINE, WE CAN NOT KNOW, 
What it was like to live a long time ago. 
How people lived, what actually occurred?
Our view of life then, is unquestionably blurred.

The world changes and is never the same. 
We imagine as in a guessing game.
Nevertheless, we see clearly from the past, 
The longing for God remains hard an fast.

LIKE A SHADOW - ONE CAN'T SNARE IT,
 
Like a shadow - one can't lose it,
It is there to be - You it. It you . . .

Changing form, increasing, decreasing 
As there is Light.
Like a shadow.

IN SERVING GOD THERE IS ONE TRUE TEST 
One that's reliable - forget the rest.
It furthers one's love of God. 
If not - it is best to discard.

To love God is helping one's fellow man ,
Acting unselfishly any way one can. 
Austerities, doing sacrifices - only these - 
Can turn to emotional disease.

All practices in whatever form they be,
Need serve the goal of spirituality.
Whatever one does, even with all one's might,
If not with humble love of God - It's not right.

HAVE NO FEAR, GOD IS ALWAYS NEAR.
 
Never far - wherever you are . . . 
Not apart - He is within your heart,
Protecting you in all you do, 
When you sense He is there - no fear!

MATTERS NOT IF IT IS SLIGHT.
If it is something not right,
Little ones accumulate. 
Before long, small becomes great.

Big or small it's all the same 
With either, one does self maim.
Be concerned, even if small. 
A transgression leads to fall.
 

WHEN WE CAN SEE, 
There is no need to trust.
When we can't see, 
Believing is a must.

For a true Believer, 
The opposite is true. 
Believing is seeing,
With so much more in view.

EXPRESSING THEMSELVES IN EVERY WAY, 
When asked about God - had this to say.
There is a God in which he believes, 
Based on feelings he receives. 

God is not known directly, all agree,
God is the Ultimate Mystery . .

GOD ROLLS INTO HUMANS 
like the ocean to the shoreline
at times calmly, at times stormily . . .

The roll is incessant
but it always stops at the shoreline, 
as the human body stops God 
from going any further.

All are one shoreline of the endless sea of God.
 

ALL IS PLEASING OR NOTHING IS. 

All is well or nothing is.
These do not sound right - how can it be? 
One or the other - absolutely!

On a secular level not so indeed. 
But with spirituality - one must concede
It is either, or - no in betweens. 
All is God's will - this what it means.

SELL YOURSELF TO GOD. 

The price is right. 
Receive the Truth.
Be in His service for life.
 

WE CAN ONLY KNOW GOD'S PERFECTION 
By indirection.

We cannot with the finite mind, 
The Infinite find!
